Application Process and Information

Thank you for your interest in MJR Leadership Academy. By completing the first-round application and registration, you are taking the first step in a process that will allow us to learn more about you, your achievements, and your future goals.

We encourage you to submit your forms as soon as possible. Our Selection Committee will review all first-round applications carefully. After doing so, we will proceed with the 2nd round process which is Qualification. This process entails reading two books and completing assignments associated with the two books. After assignments are completed, they must be submitted online at assignments@mjrla.com by Friday, April 27, 2012. Last but not least, we will conclude with the 3rd round process which is Notification. All finalists will be notified of final admission decisions by Friday, May 11, 2012. Additionally, all finalists will be invited to an orientation for the Leadership Academy. At this orientation, which will be held on Sunday, May 13 at 5:00 p.m., questions will be answered, directions will be given, course and curriculum information will be provided and a brief introduction of students and instructors will take place. Classes will be held every third Saturday of each month (May-December), beginning at 6 am and concluding at 9 pm-Saturday night.

FIRST-ROUND APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

The MJR Leadership Academy first-round application consists of three components, all of which must be completed. We cannot evaluate applications that are incomplete.

C. Registration Form

All first-round applications with all three parts completed must be received by FRIDAY, APRIL 27, 2012. We strongly encourage you to submit your application as soon as possible.

Confirmation of Receipt:
You will receive a confirmation via SMS and/or email after we receive your application. Please contact the Admissions Office only if you do not receive a confirmation message within three days. Please keep a full copy of all application materials in case your application is lost in transit. MJR LA will not be held liable for lost or missing applications.

Both assignments are to be submitted online at assignments@mjrla.com. You will receive an email or SMS notification once your assignment is received.

Subsequent to registration:

One MUST successfully pass the pre-qualification process which includes the following:

  1. You must read the book: “Inquire- The Seven Questions of Life” by Pastor Sino Agueze
  2. You must read the book: “The Salt Factor – Influencing your environment with the values
    and character of Christ” by Pastor  Sino Agueze
  3. You must complete all assignments (listed below) associated with the two books (listed above)
  • Give a summary of each chapter
  • State and explain 2 lessons that you learned from each chapter (Note: A lesson is something that you may have known, but not applied)
  • Prove that you didn’t know the 2 lessons using your life experience
  • What specific actions are you going to take to change and apply these lessons?

ALL assignments must be completed and submitted to assignments@mjrla.com by April 27, 2012  in order to qualify. Failure to submit all assignments on scheduled due date will result in immediate disqualification. NO EXCEPTIONS! As it concerns your acceptance or lack thereof into the Leadership Academy, you will be notified on Friday, May 11, 2012. If you are accepted, there will be an orientation held on the evening of May 6th at Making Jesus Real Church. The mandatory orientation will begin promptly at 5:00 pm.

Cancellations/Changes and Refunds: Fees for missed meals, late arrivals, and early departures will not be refunded. Fees will be refunded, less a $20.00 processing fee, if cancellation or change resulting in a refund is received in writing no later than Friday, May 16, 2012. After that date, fees are non-refundable. All refunds will be processed after the conclusion of the January session. Substitutions are allowed at no charge.

PAYMENT METHOD Check, Cash or Money Order must be in U.S. funds payable to: MJR CHURCH. There will be a $25.00 fee charged on checks returned by the bank due to insufficient funds. Registration confirmation/receipt and further information will be emailed or distributed on site.
